چکیده

Biotin is one of the water-soluble vitamins which plays an important role as a covalently bound coenzyme for carboxylases in fatty acid synthesis, gluconeogenesis and branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) metabolism in mammals. This vitamin is widely distributed in various foods and produced in intestinal microflora. Biotin deficiency is rare in general dietary habits.
